Your First Visit

Your first orthodontic consult is an opportunity for us to get to know you, understand your smile goals, and determine the best path forward. We'll guide you through every step of the process, answer your questions, and make sure you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO FEEL PREPARED

Your First Orthodontic Consult

A COMFORTABLE START TO YOUR SMILE JOURNEY

We want your first visit to be informative, relaxed, and stress free. During your complimentary consult, Dr. Timothy Agapas will evaluate your teeth, bite, and facial growth while discussing any concerns raised by you or your dentist. Together, we'll review your treatment options and answer any questions you may have, so you can make informed decisions about your orthodontic care. To help save time on the day of your appointment, we encourage you to complete your new patient forms before your visit.

What to Expect During Your Visit

YOUR CONSULTATION, STEP BY STEP

Welcome and Patient Information

01

Before your appointment, we encourage you to complete your patient forms online. This allows Dr. Agapas time to review your medical and dental history and, if necessary, contact your physician or dentist before your visit. If you're unable to complete the forms in advance, our team will be happy to assist you when you arrive.

Digital Records and Diagnostic Images

02

We'll confirm what diagnostic records are already available from your dentist. If additional X-rays or images are needed, we'll obtain them during your visit to complete your orthodontic assessment.

Comprehensive Orthodontic Examination

03

Before your examination, Dr. Agapas will take time to understand your concerns, answer your questions, and discuss what you'd like to achieve with orthodontic treatment. Understanding your goals helps us develop recommendations tailored specifically to your needs. Dr. Agapas will then complete a detailed assessment of your teeth, bite, jaw alignment, and facial growth. This examination helps determine whether orthodontic treatment is recommended and, if so, the most appropriate timing and treatment options.

Personalized Treatment Recommendations

04

Following your examination, Dr. Agapas will review his findings with you using visual aids to clearly explain your orthodontic condition and any recommended treatment. You'll have plenty of time to ask questions and fully understand your options. In most cases, you'll leave your consultation with a recommended treatment plan, an estimate of treatment time, expected fees, and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Treatment Planning and Next Steps

05

If treatment is recommended, we'll review the proposed treatment plan, estimated treatment time, fees, insurance information, and available financing options. If you're ready to proceed, we'll schedule your next appointment. If treatment isn't recommended just yet, we'll explain why and arrange a follow-up visit when appropriate.
